6 Types of Mufflers for 86/BRZ!
Many people consider muffler replacement as an initial step in customization.
Many 86/BRZ users have also replaced their mufflers.
The GReddy muffler series of course includes options for 86/BRZ.
There are 6 types in total! What are the features and points of each?
86/BRZ Muffler Lineup

Why are there so many types?
86/BRZ owners enjoy various styles, from sporty city driving setups to dress-up focused configurations, and serious circuit specifications. We offer multiple lineups to cater to this wide range of needs.
Of course, as Trust, we can recommend the best item based on the owner’s tuning direction and the stage they’re driving on.

In that case…I’d like to know the features of each!
As a manufacturer, our focus points in muffler development are “pursuit of exhaust efficiency” and “enabling the engine to run without stress = power increase” and of course “visual appeal”. We develop each muffler with these in mind.
Among these, the “Power Extreme R” and “Power Extreme 3” are two types that focus on the concept of “pursuing exhaust efficiency” and “pursuing power increase”, featuring thicker main pipes and straight pipe layouts.

Power-Focused Power Extreme R Power Extreme 3

Since the 86 has power-up options, these mufflers are suitable for those focusing on power.
Do they also match with GReddy turbo kits?
That’s right! These mufflers are perfect for turbo kit equipped vehicles, or even for NA vehicles that are driven on circuits and have been power-enhanced.

What’s the difference between Power Extreme R and Power Extreme 3?

We understand that both “Power Extreme R” and “Power Extreme 3” are power-focused mufflers, but what’s the difference between these two types?
The main differences are in the materials used and the shape of the silencer. Both Power Extreme R and Power Extreme 3 are models that adopt large silencers to balance power increase and compliance with safety standards, but Power Extreme R uses all stainless steel materials, with the largest main pipe diameter in the series at 70φ, and is equipped with a large silencer. Power Extreme 3 uses real titanium material for the tail section. And to create a more aggressive look, it features a bullet-shaped silencer. If you’re aiming for power increase and prefer the shine of stainless steel, go for Power Extreme R. If you want a balance of power and weight reduction, with a racier titanium atmosphere, Power Extreme 3 would be a good choice. Comfort Sport GT-S is a rear piece replacement type, using stock middle pipe Comfort Sport GT-S ver2 is a middle pipe replacement type, with an impressive logo plate Comfort Sport GT-S ver3 is also a middle pipe replacement type, with overwhelming impact from its quad-exit design While it might look racier with a 1-exit design, in reality, it wouldn’t achieve power increase…. That would be the result. Comfort Sport GT-S Series: Balancing Dress-up Appeal and Performance
But with a muffler change, I want not just a visual change, but also a performance improvement.
The Comfort Sport GT-S series is a muffler that balances the muffler manufacturer’s commitment with appearance.
[Comfort Sport GT-S]
Based on the concept of casually enjoying a sports muffler, it’s a rear piece-only replacement type with moderate sound volume. The key points are the sound and the heat gradation tail end that peeks out from the bumper.

Small silencers are placed on both left and right sides. This creates an impactful visual design.
The GReddy logo plate, reminiscent of a skid plate, is a distinctive feature.
[Comfort Sport GT-S ver.3]
To add even more impact to the rear view compared to ver.2, it adopts a quad-exit design. This is exclusively for vehicles equipped with TRD rear bumper or muffler garnish.
It seems the Comfort Sport GT-S is the most casual option, while the Comfort Sport ver.2 strikes a balance between performance, dress-up appeal, and price. Why Isn’t There a Single-Exit Muffler?
Due to high-power specifications, we developed a single-exit full straight muffler[/caption]
For those who say, “It’s for circuit use only, so I don’t care about safety standards! I want a high-performance 1-exit muffler!” Is there no option?
For those who want to pursue power to the fullest or want a completely original muffler, the GReddy FACTORY service is perfect.Summary
