Mechanism and Feature of Turbocharger
Housing & wheel of the compressor & turbine in pursuit of high efficiency

Turbo is working as using the pressure of exhaust came out from the engine. Then exhaust pressure is spinning the compressor wheel on the same axis to increase the pressure.Thus if you put smaller turbine wheel you can get more low torque engine but hard to spinning on higher revs. This is simply related to”shape and size of turbine wheel” and “relation between exhaust and compression”are effecting to most of engine characteristic .Also if you start to understanding the principle of turbo, you might to start to thinking about “why don’t you put small turbine wheel with big compressor wheel to get efficient turbo pressure out from smaller engine?” Yes!! this is the one of our specialty technology ,”Hybrid turbine”. considering the balance of spinning compressor wheel, we made high efficient size of wheel and number of wing selection.Further we pick up the best housing selection for each engine characters.These are “GReddy turbo charger”

Superiority of Floating metal

GReddy turbo’s are particular about floating metal.because when you are “using or feeling” these are less friction bearing systems. When you disassembly floating metal, you will find each metals are quite close to each other, for that reason you might think frictional resistance are higher. At other occasions, when you spin compressor wheel at cold situation by your hand,you will feel it more harder than ball bearing. But why floating metal works better than others? The reason is engine oil. When you start up engine , increase oil pressure with warmer temperature,axis covered with oil then floating middle of the metal.Fluid bearing system is the reason why we call “floating metal”.In other word , you are missing the point when you are checking by your sight. Because we take important oil out for disassembly the metal. Actual principle works with the filled engine oil. So when you are using , metal were not touching each other at all. To put it simply , you cant make any compression about spinning in cold situation because ability of floating metals are not enough on these conditions. Turbo’s ability is important for “using” it , doesn’t make any sense about checking with stopped engine. Let’s take it on this way ,when temperature and pressure are on right range , normal bearing and fluid bearing which one has less friction as other? As you already understand from the above , fluid bearing are less friction than considering ball bearing need water for maintaining the temperature for friction heats.
