GReddy OIL CATCH TANK
When blowby gas is directly returned to the engine, it not only reduces combustion efficiency and degrades engine oil, but the moisture and oil content in the blowby gas can also adhere to the air flow sensor, pressure sensor, surge tank, throttle valve, spark plugs, and piston heads on the intake side, causing them to malfunction.
An oil catch tank is a part that keeps the engine interior clean by capturing the blowby gas in a tank before returning it to the intake side, separating the oil and moisture. It also prevents oil from spilling onto the road surface by catching engine oil that is expelled along with blowby gas during high-rpm operation, such as circuit driving.
By regularly checking the amount and condition of oil accumulated in the tank, you can also assess the engine’s condition. An oil catch tank is essential not only for circuit driving but also for street driving.
